Gonzo Loves Camilla Muppet Inspired PREORDER Wool Fiber Batts or Braids for Spinning, Felting, & fun

It’s a most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational PREORDER! 

It’s no secret, I am a huge fan of the work of Jim Henson, most especially The Muppets. My sister and I used to live for the times Nickelodeon would play The Muppet Show or specials and nearly wore out our recorded from TV (complete with some real classic Doublemint Gum and Domino’s ‘Noid’ commercials) copy of Muppets Take Manhattan.

Shortly after I started creating fiber supplies, Spin Alongs became popular in the early days of Ravelry and Flickr. At the time, I offered a “Henson Along” that I hosted in my ravelry group. Spinners could choose from any of four different Henson themed properties, but the character or concept from within was a surprise to them. 

I’ve been wanting to revisit these themes following my current practice and materials because while I don’t know that I can make millions of people happy, I’m hoping to enjoy myself and that it will bring others some delight as well. 

Each quarter I will be focusing on one of the four original themes I was inspired by. This first quarter, I will be focusing on The Muppets! (Tentative schedule for the remainder of the year: 2nd quarter - Fraggle Rock, 3rd quarter - Labyrinth, 4th quarter - The Dark Crystal

GONZO LOVES CAMILLA 
The listing image is a mood board created using photos of the original batts and resulting handspun by the spinner who received them with images of the character(s) layered over them. These images are NOT the exact fibers you will receive, but rather to illustrate the concepts I will be drawing inspiration from. 

Gonzo is a weirdo. I love this about him. He has some of the best relationships with his fellow muppets but his heart belongs to Camilla the chicken. 

My original combination of Gonzo and Camilla (pictured) was such a delight to put together, but this time around I also wanted to create something using the classic Gonzo tuxedo so there are multiple options outlined below. 

Batts: 
Gonzo Loves Camilla 
2 oz 
Tweed style mini batts - you will receive 2+ oz total  of carded tweed style mini batts 
(approximately 8 mini batts : half will be Camilla inspired and half Gonzo inspired) 
Batts will be created from dyed fleece that may include CVM, Corriedale, and/or Finn wool + silk noils)

Braids: 
Gonzo 
4 oz 
Rambouillet OR Targhee wool combed top  
Color inspiration will be taken from Gonzo + his classic tuxedo
