Practice color theory through the lens of carding custom blends! This third workshop installment explores the complexity of blending heathers from several colors and introduces texture through tweed blending.

Kits are available with a full supply list below if you would prefer to source from your stash.

Workshop Objective: Blending Color Theory basics - selecting 3-4 colors for a heathered blend with depth instead of muddy results
-adding texture to our color theory with a flecked additions of tweed and garneting
-we will go over blending two FULL batts

This is a live ZOOM workshop to take place Tuesday , March 25, 2025
1-2:30PM EST

Live attendance is not required, with the class recording available for at 30 days following the workshop date.

Students will be emailed a reminder of suggested tools and supplies, virtual handouts, and link to attend the workshop. Recording will uploaded and available the following day.

Suggested Materials:
3.5-4 oz of base wool or alpaca in combed top, fleece, roving (or whatever prep you have) made up of the following:
-two colors that are analogous or semi analogous on the color wheel
-one contrasting color to the other two on the color wheel
-.25-.5 oz of any combination of the following: silk noils, scrap yarns, soybean staple, tencel neps (basically anything that will tear apart/fleck within your blend) these can be any color but will be more effective as a POP of color within your blend
