VIRTUAL ZOOM WORKSHOP Fiber Blending Color Theory: The Basics of the Color Wheel
Practice color theory through the lens of carding custom blends! This first workshop installment introduces even the most novice of fiber artists to the basics of the color wheel while also focusing on effective blending techniques for the drum carder.
Kits are available with a full supply list below if you would prefer to source from your stash.
Workshop Objective: The Basics of Color Theory: -understanding how to efficiently & effectively blend full color wheel using the three primary colors
-study warm vs cool colors
-examine how colors relate to each other on the color wheel and what makes a pleasing palette
This is a live ZOOM workshop to take place Tuesday , March 11
1-2:30PM EST
Live attendance is not required, with the class recording available for at 30 days following the workshop date.
Students will be emailed a reminder of suggested tools and supplies, virtual handouts, and link to attend the workshop. Recording will uploaded and available the following day.
Suggested Materials:
.65-1 oz each of red, yellow, and blue wool or alpaca (may be roving, top, or fleece)
